Hinman announces lineup of podcasters and offerings for students

ATLANTA, Ga., USA: The Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting has announced the lineup for its Hinman Podcast Lounge, featuring 10 popular dental podcasters recording episodes live. Attendees are invited to attend the meeting, taking place March 17 to 19 (Thursday to Saturday), and visit Booth No. 1049 in the exhibit hall to recharge their device, take a break and listen to podcast hosts share the latest in dentistry as they record their episodes in the lounge.

The lineup of podcasts is as follows:

  • “A Tale of Two Hygienists,” from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, hosted by Michelle Strange, RDH, and Andrew Johnston, RDH.
  • “Chew On This,” from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, hosted by Teresa Duncan of Nobody Told Me That! and Kevin Henry of Dental Assistant Nation.
  • “Just DeW It,” from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, hosted by Anne Duffy, founder and editor of Dental Entrepreneur Women.
  • “Growing Your Dental Business,” from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, hosted by Penny Reed.
  • “Bulletproof Dental Practice,” from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, hosted by Dr. Peter Boulden.
  • “Transition Talk,” from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, hosted by Charles Loretto and Christy Ratcliff.
  • “Bulletproof Dental Practice,” from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, hosted by Dr. Peter Boulden.

Dental student education and events

Hinman 2022 will also offer the New Dentist Track on Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to dental students and residents at no charge. Course Fr229 will feature the following:

  • “Ready to Launch: Practice and Growth Strategies for New Dentists,” from 9 to 10:30 a.m., presented by Carrie Webber.
  • “Why New Dentists Fail,” from 10:30 a.m. to noon, presented by Steve Anderson.
  • “Wealth Accumulation for Every Stage of Your Dental Career,” from 1 to 2:30 p.m., presented by Dr. Mark Kleive.
  • “Owning Your Dental Practice: The Bridge to Financial Freedom,” from 2:30 to 4 p.m., presented by Charles Loretto and Christy Ratcliff.

In addition to the New Dentist Track and 250 other courses available at Hinman 2022, dental students are also invited to the following:

  • “Hinman’s Night Out” — Students are offered a discounted ticket to Hinman’s signature party, 7 p.m. Friday, at the historic Tabernacle in Atlanta.
  • “Doctor Disability Specialists” — Dental students are invited to stop by the Doctors Disability Specialists booth (No. 1006) on Thursday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. for complimentary beer and wine.
