Hinman 2023 to offer special programs and courses for dentists

The Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting — one of the nation’s leading dental meeting and comprehensive source of continuing education in dentistry – has announced new educational programs and courses for dentists of all ages and levels of experience.

The 2023 meeting will offer a new Clinician Fast Track, a Practice Ownership Program, a Pankey Institute Program, as well as other new courses for dentists and dental professionals. Registration for Hinman 2023, which will be held March 16-18, is currently open at Hinman.org. At the event will be more than 200 educational lectures and workshops presented by more than 60 experts in the dental profession.

“Hinman 2023 is filled with new, innovative educational programs and courses offered by many of our beloved educators, as well as new speakers who are excited to share their knowledge with our attendees,” said Dr. Roy McDonald, General Chair for Hinman 2023. “This year, we anticipate a huge turnout of dental professionals looking to experience the latest developments in dentistry, in-person networking opportunities and Hinman’s special brand of hospitality.”

Hinman 2023 will offer a new all-day educational track for dentists, Clinician Fast Track, on Friday, March 17, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pankey Essentials 1

Offered in partnership with The Pankey Institute, Pankey Essentials 1 is a comprehensive three-day course built on an exam, diagnosis and treatment planning system based on five key areas:  aesthetics, occlusion, restorative, biology, and the patient. The course (Th102) is held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 16-18, providing 24 hours of CE at Hinman, as well as six additional hours of CE online. The speakers include Dr. Lee Ann Brady, Dr. Kelley Brummett, Dr. Michael Crete and Dr. Michael Melkers.

Practice Ownership Program
On Saturday, March 18, Hinman will offer a Practice Ownership Program, a half-day session for dental students, residents and associates who want to learn more about practice ownership. The program includes two lectures, a panel discussion, and a meet-and-greet networking session with experienced practice owners. It also includes lunch. Current practice owners are invited to join at 12 p.m. for the lunch, networking session and panel discussion portion of the program. 

Other New Courses of Interest

In addition, Hinman is offering many other courses of interest for dentists, including:

  • “Conscious Sedation Permit Update,” Satisfying the renewal requirements for those with a Georgia sedation license, March 16 & 18, Dr. Michael Pruett
  • “Ethics, Medical Legal Issues in Dentistry: What Dentists Need to Know about the New Rules and Laws,” March 16 & 18, Dr. Glenn Maron
