CHARLOTTE, N.C., USA: The ToothFairy is flying a little higher these days, thanks to a commitment from international dental product manufacturer Septodont, which is donating a portion of Toothfairy BPA-Free Pit & Fissure Sealant sales to America’s ToothFairy: National Children’s Oral Health Foundation (NCOHF) to expand preventive care programs for at-risk children.

This pledge, announced earlier this year, is only the most recent example of Septodont’s commitment to the health and well-being of vulnerable children and their families, according to NCOHF. Septodont provides underwriting support for America’s ToothFairy and over the past seven years has donated more than $1.5 million in Toothfairy BPA-Free Pit & Fissure Sealants, Biodentene and other dental products to America’s ToothFairy.

The products are distributed through the America’s ToothFairy Affiliate Network, a collaborative alliance of leading university, clinical and school-based programs, which provide education, preventive services and treatment to underserved children across North America.

The Toothfairy sealant initiative is remarkable in that the product was named to reference Septodont’s support of America’s ToothFairy. Thanks to a major recent donation, Septodont will make it possible for America’s ToothFairy Affiliates to seal an estimated 3 million children’s teeth this year.

“Sealants are a critical component of pediatric dental disease prevention,” said Fern Ingber, president and CEO of America’s ToothFairy. “Thanks to Septodont, Toothfairy sealants are protecting the smiles of vast numbers of vulnerable children at high risk for tooth decay.”

“Septodont is proud to support America’s ToothFairy and its programs to save the smiles of children in need,” said Paul Mondock, Septodont’s vice president for the Americas. “Donating a percentage of Toothfairy sealant sales is just one more way we can help protect children from the pain of dental disease and build healthier communities.”
