SAN JOSE, CA, USA: Suni Medical Imaging, a pioneer in the manufacture of digital radiography products for dental professionals, has announced an agreement with DentalSharing.com, based in Ridgewood, N.J., whereby Suni will be the first digital X-ray company to offer new, cloud-based sharing of digital X-rays to its expanding base of digital customers in the United States.

“For over 15 years now, Suni has prided itself in bringing new and innovative technologies to the dental marketplace. Being able to easily and instantly share digital X-rays for consultation or referral services is yet another of those technologies,” said Paul Tucker, CEO of Suni Medical Imaging.

The new DentalSharing feature set allows users to share all images and patient documents easily and instantly, and allows dental professionals to manage the patient information in a safe and secure HIPAA environment. No additional hardware or software is required to enable the new feature set and it will be directly integrated within Prof Suni Imaging Software, the software that powers the SuniRay and Dr SuniPlus lines of digital x-ray sensors.

“We are very excited about putting together a business relationship with Suni and look forward to a long and productive relationship,” said Tony Bonanno, CEO of Dental Sharing, LLC. “DentalSharing has been searching for just the right partner to launch the new dental sharing service and we believe that Suni has the reputation, the service, and the people that will make this venture most successful”

For launch, Suni will offer this new service as a trial offer for 30 days at no charge. Customers can then easily upgrade their accounts for a nominal yearly fee.

DentalSharing.com has developed the only image sharing service integrated with an imaging system. This innovative, state-of-the-art, Web-based service provides the dental community the ability to easily share and store digital dental X-rays and related information in full compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Suni Medical Imaging is the only Silicon Valley manufacturer of Digital Radiography Systems in the United States. Headquartered in San Jose, Calif., Suni manufactures and delivers high-quality digital radiography sensors under the Dr Suni Plus and SuniRay brands. The company also offers the SuniCam II intraoral camera line as well as the Suni 3D Digital Panoramic, Cephalometric, and Cone Beam 3D Systems.
