Seattle Study Club partners with dental laser corp

SEATTLE, Wash., USA: One of the world's largest continuing education networks in dentistry is expanding its range of specialties through a new partnership with Biolase, a laser specialist company based in Irvine, California. The agreement includes several joint activities such as live demonstrations at Seattle Study Club events and other direct promotional activities, both parties said this week.

Founded in 1982 by Dr Michael Cohen, the Seattle Study Clubs claims to have 8,000 members worldwide. According to own figures, the network currently hosts 350 study clubs in different fields of dentistry. It also organises a national symbosium on in a regular basis in different venues throughout the U.S. with the next meeting to be held at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Naples, Florida.

In the past, the network has been cooperating with other dental companies such as dental implant maker Nobel Biocare.

Biolase said that the partnership is the first part of a marketing campaign, the company intends to push in key markets over the course of this year.
