The Zimmer Institute is offering a hands-on advanced surgical cadaver course, designed for clinicians who are actively placing implants and would like to expand and/or refine their surgical knowledge, skills and techniques. This course provides clinicians with a unique opportunity to practice complicated implant procedures, including regenerative techniques and immediate implant loading, and then immediately refine these techniques using human cadavers.
During the two-day course, breakfast and lunch will be provided. A group dinner will be provided on Monday evening, and details will be provided before the course begins. The dress code is casual throughout the course; one pair of scrubs will be provided for participants to wear in the lab. Dinner will also be casual.
Each clinician should bring a case that they would like to treatment plan for implant therapy. Please remember to include as many of the following items as possible: radiographs, photos, study casts, other pertinent data. The more information the better, as this will provide an opportunity to discuss the treatment plan and the expected outcome so that you can go back to the patient with all the information needed and feel comfortable presenting the treatment options. (While it is OK to bring an additional “already completed case” for discussion, questions, etc., bringing a new case to treatment plan will provide the most meaningful experience.)
Also bring loupes, if you wear them while working.
The course offers 16 credits, and tuition is $3,000.
The course will be offered Sept. 24-25 at the Nicholson Center for Surgical Advancement in Celebration, Fla., with Dt.; and also Oct. 29-30 at ZI East in Parsippany, N.J.
The presenters are Dr. Minish Bhola and Dr. Kanyon Keeney.
