CHARLOTTE, N.C., USA: Sirona Dental recently held its CEREC 30th (C30) anniversary celebration, an event the company said “exceeded expectations and further established Sirona as the leader in digital dentistry.” The CAD/CAM extravaganza, hosted at the The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas, spanned three days of hands-on learning, keynote speeches and entertainment.

Recognized as one of the dental industries’ premier continuing education forums, C30 captured the attention of an ensemble of key opinion leaders who journeyed from around the globe to celebrate a technology that forever changed the world of dentistry.

C30 opened on Thursday morning, as CEREC friends and family assembled to network and enjoy the company of their peers. Participants congregated into general sessions to acquire strategies for differentiating their practice capabilities. A group of digital dentistry luminaries delved into a multitude of CEREC-specific topics. Among them, Frank Spear, who spoke on optimal patient care in the digital world, Rella Christensen, who taught attendees how to overcome lithium disilicate challenges, and Dr. Sameer Puri, who discussed CEREC as the center of the digital practice’s universe.

The forum’s tradeshow hall played host to a bevy of exhibitors displaying the latest chairside innovations with booths frequented by engaged clinicians. Thursday’s lineup was headlined by former Dallas Cowboys great Emmitt Smith, who delivered a rousing speech on overcoming adversity and inspired attendees with an abundance of business and life enrichment information.

Friday and Saturday consisted of Breakout Educational Sessions which enabled clinicians to focus on segmented tracks of their choosing including inLab, CEREC and Schick. Furthermore, sponsored breakout sessions explored new technology in high-strength ceramics, while Fred Joyal of 1-800-DENTIST mentored clinicians with tips to seamlessly integrate social media into a practice setting.

Life success and business leadership coach Tony Robbins enamored attendees with seven simple steps for attaining financial freedom. Robbins masterfully outlined a plan specifically catered to CEREC doctors to set them on the path toward a lifetime of guaranteed income. To complement an event of unrivaled education, it was only fitting that Sirona also enlist a lineup of unmatched entertainment. Grammy-Award winning band Train rocked the crowd Friday night while performing hit singles such as “Meet Virginia,” “Drops of Jupiter” and “Angel in Blue Jeans.”

On Saturday night, after another day of lectures and networking, C30 culminated as all attendees were invited to “Party Like a Rockstar” at TAO the Nightclub, one of Las Vegas’ elite nightlife venues. Sirona Dental President Michael Augins commented on the three-day celebration. “CEREC professionals are superstars in our eyes, and on behalf of Sirona, it was a pleasure to make them feel as so,” he said. “We expected C30 to be a huge success, but our expectations were pleasantly exceeded with such a spectacular reception. We hope that our many CEREC friends and family will join us for future Sirona extravaganzas.”
