Air Techniques, a company known as a leading innovator and manufacturer of dental equipment, is sponsoring the course, “A Practical Approach to Aerosol Mitigation,” presented by Dr. Martin Koch, at the 2021 Chicago Midwinter Meeting.

This relative course, CLV204, is open to anyone who registers to attend the virtual meeting. Koch is presenting at 10 a.m. Central on Friday, Feb. 26, and attendees will receive 1 C.E. credit

This course offers the perfect opportunity for dental professionals to learn about the increased risk of exposure to dental aerosols if not treated correctly. Dental aerosols and droplets are produced during dental procedures generated by dental instruments, namely turbine and power water jet devices.

In this presentation, Koch will provide insight into the latest research and present the results of a study that is being conducted.

Attendees will be able to identify the risks and properties of dental aerosol particles. Recognizing these risks is key to understanding why effective treatment procedures are essential in keeping the operatory a safe working environment. You will be able to successfully implement needed measures that will significantly reduce or eliminate dental aerosol risk.

Koch studied biology at the University of Hohenheim and then received his doctorate in biotechnology from RWTH Aachen University. He is a respected lecturer and, since 2001, has held the position of Head of the Technical Academy at Durr Dental.

Attend Dr. Koch’s “A Practical Approach to Aerosol Mitigation,” at 10 a.m. Central on Friday, Feb. 26, course CLV204. You can also visit Air Techniques in the virtual exhibit hall at booth No. 305.
