PITTSBURGH, Pa., USA: Some 2,000-plus attendees have gathered at the David Lawrence Convention Center for the weeklong Center for Lifelong Learning at the American Dental Hygienists’ Association’s 93rd Annual Session. The program features a diverse offering of continuing education programs within six different C.E. tracks.

First up Saturday morning is a plenary session. Sponsored by Procter & Gamble Crest + Oral B, the event will begin with the ADHA Awards Ceremony at 8 a.m., followed by the keynote presentation “Knowing Your Value” by best-selling author, journalist and co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Mika Brzezinski. Doors for the session open at 7:30 a.m.

Brzezinski’s memoir, “All Things At Once,” became a New York Times best seller in January 2010. Her most recent book, “Obsessed: America’s Food Addiction and My Own,” debuted on the best-sellers list in spring 2013. Brzezinski also writes “Getting What You Want” for Cosmopolitan, a monthly column about career confidence and empowerment.

In addition to the keynote presentation, the day will also be filled with a variety of other educational sessions. Topics include “The Dental Hygienist's Role in the Care of Infant, Toddler and Adolescent Patients” by
