RED BANK, N.J., USA: The American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM) is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Dental Spouse Business Network (DSBN). The DSBN was created by AADOM to address the specific needs and challenges of office managers whose spouses are the dentist in the practice. This popular event has filled a need for this niche group of dental office managers. It is approved for 1 C.E. credit toward the AADOM Fellowship Program.
Dental spouses registered for the AADOM Conference are invited to attend the DSBN event. The gathering will take place at the Annual Conference and is expected to draw increased attendance.
States Pat Lutz, a lifetime AADOM member and the office manager of her husband’s practice in Madera, Calif.: “AADOM provides a way to network and to provide support, ideas and tools to help us become more effective dental office managers. We have an important role in our office and it's important that we walk the walk and not just talk it.”
Topics for DSBN include increasing and maintaining the value of a practice as well as a workshop on best practices for working with your spouse. Speakers for this year’s session include Dr. Tony Stefanou, Paul Edwards and Ali Edwards, Esq. AADOM Founder and President Heather Colicchio states that one of the most rewarding aspects of the DSBN is seeing members share their issues and finding that they are not alone and knowing that through DSBN they find solutions to their challenges. She states that “once the dental spouses realize that they have a network of other spouses to turn to, they feel a sense of relief that their situations are not unique and can be solved.”
AADOM’s 8th Annual Conference will be held Sept. 6–8 in Scottsdale, Ariz. The 5h Annual “Dental Spouse Business Roundtable” course will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 5 prior to the conference. Registration information and course specifics can be found online at http://www.dentalmanagers.com/dental-spouse-business-network-dsbn/.
