ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., USA: The board of directors of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) has made an unparalleled move of adopting the International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry (IJPRD) as its second official journal, significantly elevating the level of benefits offered to its members, the AO announced in a press release.
With a global reputation for high-quality editorial content and color illustrations, IJPRD is an often-cited journal based in science and clinical in presentation. AO members will receive the IJPRD at no additional cost beginning in February 2020.
“Member value is a top priority for the academy,” said AO President Dr. Jay P. Malmquist. “The IJPRD is a world-class, scientific, peer-reviewed journal that will provide clinically relevant information designed to inspire our members in their daily practices.”
Articles are uniquely presented showing the relationship between a healthy periodontium and precise restorations, as well as the integration of implants with comprehensive treatment planning.
The IJPRD will be in addition to AO members already receiving the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants (JOMI), consistently rated as its No. 1 benefit. Both journals are produced by Quintessence Publishing Co.
Membership in the academy is designed to provide professionals across all dental disciplines the highest quality continuing education programs and other resources to aid in the development of dental implant related careers and practices, AO said. Those interested in becoming an AO member should go to osseo.org/benefits-of-membership/ or call (847) 439-1919 to learn more.
