Tight contacts with new separator ring

The Soft-Face™ 3D500 separator rings from Garrison Dental Solutions have been upgraded. The improvements include a substantially smaller body and increased longevity. The ring retains the soft silicone “pads” that adapt matrix bands to the tooth for virtually zero flash. These pads helped make the ring an instant success when it was introduced in 2008.

Use of a new, highly specialized plastic to reinforce the stainless steel ring allowed for a 35 percent reduction in the size of the critical ring body while maintaining proper tooth-separating force. Visibility and ring placement are improved while spring fatigue is significantly minimized. The new ring body is also more chemical and heat resistant further improving longevity.

The improved ring is used in connection with Garrison’s sectional matrix bands to produce a tight, anatomically accurate contact at the tooth’s natural height of contour. It is the cornerstone of the Composi-Tight 3D™ Sectional Matrix System. It is available in refill packs or as part of a complete introductory kit that includes Slick Bands non-stick sectional matrix bands. Garrison Dental Solutions sells direct in the United States and through select dealers outside the United States.
