If you’ve wound up in the Windy City for this year’s American Association of Orthodontists annual meeting, from April 22 to 24, then the AAO has something tailored just for you and your team. For more than 100 years, orthodontists from around the world have converged to attend the annual session, and this year is no different as Chicago plays host to the 123rd event.

The McCormick Place West Building is where you can find the exhibit hall and more than 350 companies showcasing the latest in orthodontics.

Attendees looking for specialized approaches to orthodontics have five different paths to choose from. As part of this year’s event, you can “Create Your Experience” and learn new approaches, freshen your skills and be the first to know about advances in clinical subject matters.

For those interested in discoveries and breakthroughs in orthodontics, the Scientific Advance path will show you how to bring the latest science into your practice as well as offer sessions where you can learn about 3-D printing research and craniofacial imaging.

Attendees heading to the Clinical Techniques path can learn about promoting patient care as well as how to implement new and existing techniques to boost your office.

A happy office has benefits for both patients and staff. Learn how to tap into those benefits as part of the Inspiration and Wellbeing path. Attendees will learn techniques to help better manage office culture and deal with emotional wellness. Also learn how to motivate your team and attract top talent for your practice.

The Business Success path will give you the insights you need to keep your practice running smoothly and financially sound. Presenters will show you how to ensure long-term success and a stable practice by offering presentations on accounting, managing inventory and human resources.

The fifth path you can chose from is the Innovation and Tech Talk path. This networking opportunity will show you the best, new technology for your patients. You can learn about artificial intelligence and new appliances that can transform your orthodontic practice.

This year’s event kicked off with keynote speaker and New York Times bestselling author Neil Pasricha. The popular TED speaker focused on the “relationship between happiness and leadership in business” and has been featured on a variety of broadcasts including “The Today Show” and CNN.

For those looking for continuing education, you can earn 15.5 C.E. credits at this year’s AAO. A wide assortment of sessions is taking place over the next three days and throughout the exhibit hall.

Don’t forget to download the live exhibit hall map and learn about the latest technology changes in the field of orthodontics directly from the companies.

The exhibit hall is open from 9 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
