BIRMINGHAM, Ala., USA: Vulcan Custom Dental, a custom prosthetic milling center, recently announced it has become a BioHorizons Authorized Milling Center, and it now offers BioHorizons authentic custom prosthetics for single unit, multi-unit and full-arch solutions to oral health professionals.
Now that Vulcan is a BioHorizons Authorized Milling Center, its customers can access cutting-edge digital dental solutions created from authentic BioHorizons components, according to the company.
“We knew that becoming an authorized milling center for BioHorizons required we meet the same standards as a medical device manufacturer. Registration with the FDA was a logical step and illustrates our commitment to providing high quality, reliable restorations to labs and dentists,” said Mark Ferguson, general manager at Vulcan.
FDA registration requires the implementation of strict quality and regulatory procedures that ensure all products meet the extensive compliance standards required for medical devices. FDA registration also requires periodic regulatory audits to verify all procedures are being followed.
“Vulcan Custom Dental is unique to the industry," said Todd Strong, COO of BioHorizons. “Their team of dental technicians, expert machinists and biomedical engineers possesses a highly diverse skill set that creates a product development environment we have not seen anywhere else.”
