TRIOS MOVE offers great ergonomics and patient excitement

Here at the 2018 Midwinter Meeting in Chicago, 3Shape is introducing TRIOS MOVE — a new hardware setup for its award-winning 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner. During a press conference Thursday morning, Rune Fisker of 3Shape said TRIOS MOVE offers practitioners two benefits: great egronomics and patient excitement.

Now, the 3Shape TRIOS scanner, monitor and PC are on a lightweight, fully adjustable positioner, said Fisker, who demonstrated the functionality of TRIOS MOVE for dental professionals and members of the dental industry press who gathered around for the presentation.

“3Shape TRIOS MOVE mobility enables doctors to always position the screen in the right place to provide a superior experience for both dentist and patient,” the company said in a press release announcing the development.

“3Shape TRIOS MOVE is perfectly balanced and can be rolled effortlessly from operatory to operatory,” the press release said.

“Dentists are always telling us how thrilled their patients are to see their digital impressions onscreen. We created 3Shape TRIOS MOVE, the ultimate scanning and communications tool, to give professionals a simple and exciting way to share dynamic treatment information close-up with patients and advance treatment dialogue and acceptance,” said Tais Clausen, co-founder and co-CEO of 3Shape.

According to the company, doctors who already own a 3Shape TRIOS 3 intraoral scanner can purchase 3Shape TRIOS MOVE setup separately, which includes the PC and monitor. The doctor can then plug his or her own TRIOS scanner into the unit.

To generate excitement among patients, there three 3Shape TRIOS apps: TRIOS Smile Design, TRIOS Treatment Simulator and TRIOS Patient Monitoring. A fourth app for patients, My3Shap, will be available soon.

3Shape is also launching a new professional online community for 3Shape TRIOS dentists and labs, the 3Shape Community, providing a platform for dental professionals to expand their knowledge and to network with digital dentistry colleagues from around the globe. Membership is free as part of CliniCare and LabCare packages for 3Shape owners.

Also during the press conference, 3Shape announced the launch an open clear aligner workflow and updated digital denture software, called Denture Design.
