ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., USA: OCO Biomedical will host “An Introduction and Hands-On Placement of the OCO Biomedical Implant System,” featuring presenter Dr. Charles Schlesinger, DDS, FICOI and OCO chief operating officer and director of education and clinical affairs. This lecture will take place on Thursday, Jan. 22 from 8 a.m. to noon at the 2015 International Congress of Oral Implantologists Winter Implant Symposium.

The symposium will be held at the Marriott World Center Resort in Orlando, Fla. Attendance at the presentation is limited to 30 participants.

According to the company, Schlesinger’s fast-paced, hands-on, AGD-Pace-accredited workshop allows both the inexperienced and experienced practitioner to be comfortable placing OCO Biomedical Immediate Stabilization implants. This workshop is not meant to be a complete implant education, but rather a comprehensive introduction to OCO’s particular implant system and its protocols.

Objectives for the “Introduction and Hands-on Placement of the OCO Biomedical Implant System are:

  • Learn an introduction to immediate stabilization theory.
  • Learn to become comfortable with the OCO surgical protocol.
  • Learn to place implants on models.

States Schlesinger: “In line with this year’s ICOI theme, ‘Lessons Taught-Lessons Learned,’ OCO Biomedical has made major changes in our 2015 educational and training program. For over four decades, our company has provided innovative and cutting-edge courses and seminars for thousands of attendees. The 2015 OCO Biomedical Next Generation of Dental Implant Training program is reflective of what we have learned through our teaching. We are implementing innovations in curriculum to provide practitioners with practical, proven procedures and techniques that they can immediately implement in their practices to improve patient care and build practice performance. Our recent collaboration with the Perio Institute is an additional benefit for course participants providing even more resources for hands-on training.”
