The Shils Fund is thrilled to announce the finalists advancing to the Grand Finale of the Shils Fund Great Oral Health Pitch — a dynamic, virtual pitch competition spotlighting the brightest minds transforming the future of oral health.

This is your chance to witness innovation in action and help champion the next generation of game-changers in the oral health industry.

Invite your network — colleagues, friends, students and mentors — to the virtual event taking place Sept. 3 from 7 to 8 p.m. Eastern. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Meet the finalists

Dr. João Guilherme Medeiros — The Bright Smile Adventure. Winner of the Greater New York Dental Meeting. Medeiros, a dental surgeon and forensic dentistry expert, presents an interactive gamified brushing experience for kids using 3-D electric toothbrush technology to improve hygiene habits in real time.
Adrian Fin — KiDDY CAPS / ZircoThin. Winner of the Chicago Midwinter Meeting. An acclaimed strategist and startup founder, Fin introduces ultra-thin zirconia crowns for children that reduce prep time, improve outcomes and expand access to care for underserved youth.
Evan Schlossberg — The Gleamery. Winner of the California Dental Association Presents. A dental wellness pioneer for Millennials and Gen Z, Schlossberg is reinventing how younger generations access dental care — fusing esthetics, tech and hospitality into a modern oral wellness experience.

One finalist will be named the winner of the $50,000-plus grand sponsorship package, including cash, product and service support, mentorship and exposure from top leaders across the oral health industry.

How the Great Oral Health Pitch works

Earlier this year, pitch events were held at three of the dental industry’s most prominent meetings: Greater New York Dental Meeting, Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting and the California Dental Association meeting (CDA). At each event, participants presented their ideas in front of a panel of expert judges in a dynamic, “Shark Tank”-style format. These live events offered invaluable opportunities for participants to receive real-time feedback, improve their strategies and connect with leading voices in oral healthcare.

At every stop, one standout innovator received a $2,500 cash prize, and two runner-ups were selected. Now, with three competitions complete and three winners selected, it’s time for the grand finale. These finalists will now go head-to-head in the final competition where one visionary entrepreneur will receive the Great Oral Health Pitch Grand Prize.
