Get ready for three-plus days of celebrating excellence with industry-leading keynotes and speakers, educational sessions, product experiences and presentations exploring the most topical subjects shaping the future of dental hygiene as ADHA22, the American Dental Hygienists’ Association’s annual convention, takes place from Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26.

The opening general session, "Compose Your World," led by violinist Kai Kight, will take place Friday from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. in Ballroom C. Knight, who believes that music can be used not just as an escape but as a guide for us to learn from, will offer tips as we look to redesign our lives and work during difficult times.

The Product Innovation Theater will be hosting presentations during the course of the meeting. Presenters include Johnson and Johnson, Colgate, onDiem, Darby Dental, VOCO, Crest + Oral-B and Pacific Dental. Learn about what’s new in everything from varnishes to electric toothbrushes.

Between events be sure to visit the exhibit hall (Hall AB). Open Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can meet with reps and get a hands-on experience with new products and technologies.

At the Philips Oral Healthcare Wellness Pavilion, you can take a moment for some self-care. You’ll have the chance to experience a moment to unwind and a stretching station to learn exercises to benefit your mind and body. If you’re feeling inspired afterward, you can register for sunrise yoga on Saturday from 6:30 am to 7:30 a.m. on the KICC: Upper Concourse Foyer.

If you choose to start your Saturday morning a little later, you can visit the Health & Wellness Morning Break in the Upper Concourse Foyer from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. and fill up on some delicious healthy food options to start your day off on the right step.

On Sunday, the “Brunch and Learn” (from 10:30 a.m. to noon in Ballroom D) will be led by Susanna Scherer and will focus on premedication guidelines for dental professionals. The purpose of this session is to help dental professionals understand the current guidelines for antibiotic prophylaxis prior to dental procedures. Scherer will examine the growing concern for antibiotic resistance and the role of dental professionals toward antibiotic stewardship.

Finally, don’t forget to hold onto your lunch vouchers; each are redeemable for up to $12 at the food stations in Hall AB (booth No. 456). Options include an express fresh market, street tacos, pizza and mac and cheese. The stations are open noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday and from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Saturday.
