SAN DIEGO, Calif., USA: If you are seeking a fun convention filled with energy and fellow professionals who are seeking knowledge beyond dental school, come to the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics (IACA) meeting at the Manchester Grand Hyatt on the San Diego Bay. The dates are Thursday, July 28 to Saturday, July 30.

This is the seventh meeting of the IACA and it has kept getting better each year as the speakers presenting there will not be found at many other conventions. The attendees at IACA meetings seek to learn more than what they were taught in dental school, and it shows because when the lectures start, the hallways and exhibit hall are empty!

The subjects are a mix of insurance issues, sleep dentistry, predictable implants, practice management, lasers, endo, laboratory technician workshops, dental materials, bonding techniques for resin and porcelain, orthodontics, occlusion and other indirect topics related to dentistry.

Speakers include Drs Omer Reed, Ron Jackson, Kit Weather, Brian Allman, Sherry Blair, Leo Malin and renowned laboratory technician Mike Milne. Many of these speakers do not usually get out to the West Coast to speak.

There are planned activities for the evenings, including the Padres game and a big special event held on our final night, Saturday, aboard the aircraft carrier USS Midway. The celebration will take place on the flight deck, and there will be airplanes and helicopters to tour.
