AMERICAN FORK, Utah, USA: Henry Schein One, a joint venture of Henry Schein Inc. and Internet Brands, announced an exclusive sales and marketing relationship with eAssist Dental Solutions (eAssist), developer of a fast-growing virtual dental billing outsourcing service.
eAssist uses a combination of human and technology resources to outsource billing for dental practices who may lack the time, tools or personnel to do it themselves, simplifying the practice collections process. eAssist also helps practices retrieve uncollected payment following patient visits to improve practice profitability.
“As practices are re-opening, it is more important than ever to help our customers improve their financial health and deliver tools to improve operational efficiencies,” said Jonathan Koch, senior vice president and CEO, Henry Schein Global Dental Group and interim CEO, Henry Schein One. “With eAssist, our customers can gain a trusted and reliable resource dedicated to maximizing their practice income. The increased billing revenue can be invested in new capabilities, services and systems that enhance the patient experience.”
With industry-leading technology and insurance and billing professionals, eAssist can help practices increase income by creating a more consistent cash flow from timely collections; decreasing insurance denials through more accurate claims submissions and processing; and reducing time spent on paperwork and phone calls to identify and retrieve missed payments, according to a company press release.
“Partnering with Henry Schein One is a win-win for our mutual customers,” said Dr. James Anderson, founder of eAssist. “Our purpose is to deliver peace of mind by helping ensure insurance companies pay claims that are rightfully owed. Sending clean claims, appealing claims and posting claims properly to patient ledgers are essential. The Henry Schein One and eAssist relationship will help more dentists enjoy the practice of dentistry knowing that their critical insurance and billing functions are working efficiently and profitably.”
eAssist is currently designed to support dental practices of all sizes and has assembled a network of dental billing experts that essentially become part of the practice’s business management team. In addition to its core dental billing service, newer offerings from eAssist include securing detailed payer eligibility information, billing certain dental procedures through medical insurance, “light touch” patient collections and practice bookkeeping.
