The Atlantic Beach Continuum for Dental Education — Peninsula Dental Society announced that Dr. Miguel Ortiz of Harvard University will speak on April 3. The title of the lecture is “CAD-CAM Dental Materials From Science to Patients: Contemporary Dental Photography and Impression Techniques.” Seminars begin at 8:30 a.m. at The Sands of Atlantic Beach, 1395 Beech St., Atlantic Beach, N.Y.
The Peninsula Dental Society is the successor to The Peninsula Hospital Dental Society, which was founded in 1968 as a hospital-based study club sponsored by The Department of Dentistry of Peninsula Hospital Center, Far Rockaway, N.Y. The society’s founders included Dr. Bernard Cohen, Dr. Theodore Schwarcz, Dr. Eugene Finkel, Dr. Harold Hartstein, Dr. Jerome Teitelbaum and Dr. Carl Mintz, all faculty members of The Peninsula Hospital Center’s General Practice Dental Residency Program.
