AMD LASERS, the Indianapolis-based company that makes using lasers affordable and accessible to dentists, has introduced a new option for its Picasso and Picasso Lite units: disposable tips.

Dental practitioners who use the Picasso and Picasso Lite lasers now have the option of using disposable tips or a strippable fiber.

“We are very excited about the latest product announcement,” said Alan Miller, founder and CEO of the company. “AMD LASERS is committed to our role as the leader in advancing the use of laser technology in the dental operatory. Dentists wanted an option of using convenient disposable tips or the cost effectiveness of a strippable fiber. We delivered. This marks just another breakthrough in technology by AMD LASERS.”

According to AMD LASERS, this newest offering continues a solid history of providing innovative and quality laser products to the dental industry. Known by many as the most affordable lasers in the world, the Picasso and Picasso Lite continue to be purchased in record numbers, the company said.

“We are committed to our one vision, one goal—a laser in every office and every operatory,” Miller said. “The research and development we continue to reinvest in our current and future products only solidifies AMD LASERS as the No. 1 company in the world.”

According to AMD LASERS, the integration of the Picasso line of soft tissue dental lasers enables every dental practitioner to provide state-of-the-art treatment for soft tissue surgery, periodontal and endodontic procedures, and laser teeth whitening. The units are ISO 13485 and CE-certified for global distribution.

Bart Waclawik, chief operating officer of the company, said the tips were designed to meet the needs of all soft tissue dental procedures. “The new disposable tips are available in various angles, lengths and sizes to meet our clients needs,” he said.
