The 2022 Florida Dental Convention (FDC2022) is scheduled for June 23 to 25 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The theme is “Dentistry & Systemic Health: Mouth, Mind and Body Connection.”

Meeting organizers say that FDC2022 will feature something for everyone on the dental team, including more than 130 courses, more than 300 dental vendors and networking and teambuilding opportunities.

A cornerstone of the FDC2022 program is The Pankey Institute’s “Pankey Essentials 1 course.” This three-day workshop will be offered Thursday, June 23, to Saturday, June 25, for as low as $4,999 (an $800 savings). In this three-day workshop taught by Dr. Lee Ann Brady and Pankey Institute faculty, attendees will learn the five key areas of exam, diagnosis and treatment planning system: aesthetics, occlusion, restorative, biology and the patient. Organizers said that only 15 seats remain, and this course will sell out. Dental professionals can register today and learn more at pankey.floridadentalconvention.com. The deadline to register for Pankey Essentials 1 is Monday, May 23.

Dental assistants, meanwhile, have the opportunity to dive deep into the Pankey Institute learning philosophy with courses presented by Pankey Institute faculty member Dr. Edwin McDonald. While the dentist is taking the Essentials 1 course, dental assistants can attend two and a half days of courses on mastering clinical skills in the dental office in lecture and hands-on workshops.
