With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting every scheduled dental meeting, it can be hard to keep up with what is happening when. To help with that, we have a list of some of the upcoming meetings and what you can expect.
Midwinter Meeting
The Chicago Dental Society’s 156th Midwinter Meeting will provide access to a wide variety of educational sessions, exhibitors and even virtual time with your staff and colleagues. The meeting, to be held Thursday, Feb. 25, to Saturday, Feb. 27, will take place solely online in order to keep all attendees, presenters and exhibitors safe from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
For more information, including courses, exhibitors, pricing structure and more, and to register, visit www.cds.org/meetings-events/midwinter-meeting.
Hinman Dental Meeting
The Hinman Dental Meeting is the first U.S. meeting to attempt to hold in-person courses since last March. Hinman plans to host its 2021 meeting, taking place March 12 and 13, both in person at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center and virtually with livestreamed courses and events. In its 109th year, Hinman will host 47 in-person courses at the Omni Hotel and more than 40 virtual courses, including live Q&A with the speakers.
For more information, visit www.hinman.org.
Academy of Osseointegration
The Academy of Osseointegration (AO) is moving its annual meeting forward with an exciting, fully virtual and interactive format, according to the organizers. Registration is now open at https://ao2021.osseo.org for “Game Changers,” taking place March 12 to 14.
For those who can’t attend live, you can view recordings of all sessions until December 2021. C.E. credit will be available through June 14, 2021.
AAE
The annual AAE meeting, AAE21, is going virtual. Taking place April 21 to 24, the virtual iteration will feature major elements of a typical live meeting, including a keynote speaker address, the General Assembly, a full exhibit hall and multiple community-building events. Registrants will have the opportunity to earn up to 41 C.E. hours, with more on-demand content expected to be added to the meeting. Visit www.aae.org/specialty/education-events/aae-annual-meeting/ for more details.
AACD
AACD 2021 Rockies, the 37th Annual Scientific Session, has been cancelled.
CDA Presents
To continue to ensure compliance with public health guidance and to be able to plan for the best event possible, CDA Presents The Art and Science of Dentistry has announced the meeting will be an exclusively digital event, taking place May 13 to 16. Visit www.cda.org/Home/News-and-Events/CDA-Presents for details.
AAO
The 2021 AAO Annual Session has been moved to June 25 to 27, with in-person and virtual meeting options scheduled to occur.
