With the 1.7 version of the GALILEOS software, Sirona has succeeded in incorporating one of the key benefits of 3-D X-ray technology into GALILEOS Implant—i.e., integrated implant planning. The planning software combines the 3-D data of the GALILEOS CBCT system with the prosthetic proposal generated by the CEREC CAD/CAM system.

The user is now able to view the design proposal directly within the 3-D X-ray volume. This provides the ideal basis for planning the implant.

Until now, surgical aspects alone have determined how the implant is placed. With the help of GALILEOS Implant, the dentist can now focus on the desired esthetic outcome throughout the entire treatment process.

This revolutionary step forward in implant planning streamlines the treatment workflow. The dentist avoids esthetic compromises while ensuring the longterm stability of prosthetic restorations, and the patient benefits in terms of reduced treatment costs.

With GALILEOS 1.7, Sirona has underlined its position as a manufacturer of X-ray systems that offer excellent image quality and the lowest possible radiation dose as well as a perfect workflow.
