TACOMA, Wash., USA: Burkhart Dental Supply, based here, recently announced a strategic partnership with Straumann US in distributing and servicing Straumann’s CARES new Intraoral Scanner made by DentalWings. Burkhart is known as an industry leader in dental supplies distribution, and Straumann is a global leader in implant, restorative and regenerative dentistry.
“We recognize the strength of the Straumann brand,” said Michael Norton, director of equipment and technology sales for Burkhart, “and are excited to bring to market this new intraoral scanner technology.”
The Straumann CARES Intraoral Scanner is an intuitive digital impression technology that allows dentists to create impressions in their offices rather than send them to a lab. It is part of the Dental Wings’ ecosystem of open digital technologies giving dentists the freedom to choose between open architecture and trusted workflows.
Burkhart also supports the open platform. “We are committed to an open platform in which dentists have the freedom to choose a variety of product options and the level of technology they are interested in,” says Norton.
The new digital technology will be easy to access through Burkhart’s dedicated distribution and service network. “We have developed a solid infrastructure of sales professionals (CAD/CAM Specialists) and service technicians located in a variety of markets who are trained in this technology and can immediately help dentists integrate it into their dental practices.” Dentists should contact their local Burkhart Account Managers for more information.
