NASHVILLE, Tenn., and COSTA MESA, Calif., USA: The American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM) named Robyn Rossetter, business administrator for Amazing Smiles and Duongvannak Keo, DMD, PA, of Merritt Island, Fla., as the recipient of the 7th annual AADOM Office Manager of the Year Award.

The AADOM annually recognizes dental professionals who provide exceptional patient care and are an inspiration and leader within their practice. As in past years, many nominations were reviewed by a committee comprised of two leading practice management consultants, two individuals representing the Speaking Consulting Network (SCN) and the Academy of Dental Management Consultants (ADMC), a former Office Manager of the Year and AADOM staff members.

After careful consideration, the committee selected Rossetter to receive the 2011 AADOM Office Manager of the Year Award based on her integrity, character and commitment to serving her patients and community with compassion and generosity.

“The competition for this prestigious award grows more intense every year,” said Heather Colicchio, AADOM president. “Although the decision was difficult to make, the Committee felt Robyn’s impact on her practice and community made her notable.”

“Robyn quietly goes about changing patients’ lives,” wrote Dr. Keo in his nomination letter. “She is the epitome of how a manager should run a thriving dental office. Robyn also extends these qualities outside the office as well. One example is the “Find a Family” outreach program she created. Instead of having an office gift exchange during the holidays, she encouraged us to meet the needs of a local family throughout the entire year. She is inspiring.”

“I’m honored and humbled to win this award,” Rossetter said. I like to surround myself with motivated people with whom I share common goals and a common purpose in life. I’m very lucky to work with such a great team. We work together to make our patients feel like they are with friends and make their experience at our practice as enjoyable as possible. We also want to make a difference and reach out to our community, making people’s lives better.”

As the 2011 award winner, she will receive a special package provided by CareCredit, AADOM’s founding sponsor, including complimentary registration to the 2012 AADOM Conference, a feature story in AADOM’s newsletter The Observer, and $1,000 in prize money.

The AADOM is the country’s largest professional organization for office managers, practice administrators and other practice staff. The AADOM is committed to creating and maintaining a dental professionals’ network to share resources and information, helping all members achieve the highest level of professional and personal development.
