LAS VEGAS: The American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM) has named Melissa Meredith, office manager for Andrew G. Orr, DDS of Central Arkansas Dental, as the recipient of the sixth annual AADOM Office Manager of the Year Award. The AADOM is the country’s largest professional organization for office managers, practice administrators and other practice management staff.

Every successful practice has an office manager who displays innovative thinking, business acumen and leadership qualities within their practice and community. Each year, the AADOM recognizes these exceptional individuals and highlights their accomplishments at their annual conference.

“The competition for this prestigious award grows more intense every year,” said Heather Colicchio, AADOM president. “Melissa is such a quality person and so well liked and respected, she was nominated by her peers and her doctor.”

“As a young dentist with little experience in management, I can honestly say our office would not have survived without the hard work that Melissa has put in every day for the past three years,’” wrote Dr Andrew Orr as he nominated Meredith. “Due to her hard work, Central Arkansas Dental has been able to expand from one small office in Lonoke in 2007 to three thriving offices throughout central Arkansas in 2010.”

Melissa Meredith’s commitment to oral health and patients has expanded beyond the three practices of Central Arkansas Dental. “Melissa has the kindest heart and prides herself in finding ways to help those who are less fortunate. She has helped organize free dental clinics in England, Ward, and Jacksonville,” said Dr Orr. “If I’m extremely lucky I will get to enjoy several more years of having Melissa in charge of our offices.”

As the winner of the 2010 award, Meredith will receive a valuable award package provided by CareCredit, the AADOM’s Founding Sponsor. This includes free registration to the 2011 AADOM Conference, a feature story and photo on the front cover of The Observer, and $1,000.
