Welcome to the 2012 Greater Long Island Dental Meeting. I wish to express my thanks to you for choosing this meeting as a source for continuing education and for visiting our vendors as we continue the tradition that this meeting has held for over 46 years on Long Island. The success of this meeting has many variables. The most significant is your choice to support your local component society in its combined effort to provide this meeting as a member benefit. The combination of an All-Star team of directors from Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens Counties and our past Chairmen, advisors, and our executive director, Mrs. Fran McHugh; have worked as a very cohesive team to provide a meeting we hope you all enjoy.

In this economic environment; there are many uncertainties which challenge you as practicing Dentist. There are many sources of Continuing Education including online CE, study clubs, and other meetings throughout the year. In an effort to keep our fees down we have been involved in many cost containment programs to provide the absolute best bang for your buck. Please visit our exhibit floor. Our many sponsoring companies have made our meeting a priority and are anxious to show you the latest and greatest advancements in the dental industry. We have positioned our meeting at a favorable time in the business planning year so I would encourage you to discuss your needs from financing through complete construction and all your outfitting needs. Show specials are featured throughout the floor along with our infamous “lamb Chop” cocktail reception following courses on Tuesday afternoon. Plan on staying with us for the late afternoon instead of fighting Long Island traffic on your way home, and leave when the rush hour traffic has eased and your purchases are completed.
