New Cure-Through Wedges

The popular Wedge Wands™ and G-Wedge™ plastic interproximal wedges from Garrison Dental Solutions have received a very helpful update. Now both versions are made from a translucent material that allows curing penetration deep into the interproximal space when using light cured composite material. A slight color tinting in each size wedge allows for easy identification.

Both wedges feature Garrison’s Continuous Curve design, which provides improved anatomical shape and reduces trauma to the papilla. The slightly up-turned ski-like tips also help reduce trauma while preventing the wedge from penetrating the rubber dam. The translucent plastic is flexible yet firm enough to secure matrix bands and aid in tooth separation.

Wedge Wands™, Garrison’s most popular wedges, have attached placement handles. The placement handle, or applicator ‘Wand’, permits wedge placement without the need of cotton forceps or a hemostat. Insertion is accurate and firm as the wedge can be bent to any angle on the applicator wand. Once inserted, the wedge can be separated from the wand with a simple twist.

Cure-Through Wedge Wands™ and G-Wedges™ are the perfect complement to any matrix system but are particularly well suited for use with one of Garrison’s variety of cure-through matrices including the all new Composi-Tight 3D™ Clear sectional matrix system. Starter kits containing 400 wedges, 100 of each size, and individual refills of 300 are available direct in the US or through select dealers outside the United States.
