NEW YORK, N.Y., USA: Now through Nov. 24, National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy (NCOHF) will hold its Virtual ToothFairy Ball Online Auction. • Luxury suite with 12 tickets for a Washington Capitals NHL game at Verizon Center.

“Thanks to the contributions of many generous individuals and corporations, 100 percent of event proceeds will go directly to help children in need of oral health services and education,” NCOHF says. “Funds raised through the auction will help families like Bernadette’s who live in a small rural town near Fresno, Calif. For the past five years, Bernadette has been the breadwinner for her family of four and couldn’t afford dental insurance on top of her family’s medical care premiums.”

According NCOHF, to Bernadette said she got “goosebumps” when she learned that a mobile dental program was coming to her town, and that with support from America’s ToothFairy, her 5-year-old daughter could receive her first dental exam and cleaning.

“You don’t know what a relief it is to find out my little girl could finally get her teeth checked,” she said. “I have worried about it but didn’t know how I was going to get her taken care of. We are very grateful for this blessing and hope that other opportunities like this are available for families that may be in the same situation.”
