Osteogenics Biomedical recently announced the 2011 Global Bone Grafting Symposium, unique for its focus on dental bone grafting and treatment planning, will be held March 31 - April 2, 2011, at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz. The symposium will feature a guided bone regeneration surgery broadcast live by Dr. Paul Fugazzotto, optional hands-on workshops, and presentations by world-renowned speakers.

Symposium speakers include Dr. Suzanne Caudry, Dr. Barry Bartee, Dr. Tom Wilson, Dr. Paulo Coelho, Dr. Sascha Jovanovic, Dr. Istvan Urban, Dr. Dan Cullum, and Dr. Craig Misch.

“I have been placing implants as an oral surgeon since 1983. Even with my experience, I found this conference to be very informative,” said Dr. William Alfonso about the 2010 symposium. “In fact, I have already incorporated information from the speakers into my everyday practice. My patients will benefit from the knowledge I gained at this course.”

Approximately 400 clinicians from around the world are expected to attend the symposium. On April 1 and 2, the symposium will feature live-broadcast surgery, lectures, and interactive treatment planning sessions offering opportunities for speaker-attendee interaction. In addition to the main symposium, clinicians can choose to participate in one hands-on workshop on Thursday afternoon, March 31. Workshop options include socket grafting and implant site development, ridge expansion and bone manipulation, and sinus grafting and guided bone regeneration.

“This symposium is unique in that it offers a broad scope in treatment perspectives and protocols from several of the more prominent clinicians and researchers in our field,” said Dr. Philip Bird. “I would recommend it to anyone treating patients in the field of implant and regenerative dentistry.”

The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa is an ideal location due to the mild spring weather of Scottsdale and the resort’s amenities. The resort features 27 holes of championship golf, a 9,000-square-foot water park, and a world-class spa. The Westin is also within walking distance of Kierland Commons, which offers upscale shopping and a variety of dining experiences.

Tuition for the main symposium taking place April 1 and 2 is $795 and offers up to 14 CE credits. Assistants and office personnel are welcome for $350. Clinicians can participate in one hands-on workshop of their choice on March 31 and earn four CE credits for an additional $695.

Headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, Osteogenics Biomedical was founded in 1996 and has grown into a leader in the dental bone grafting industry, serving Periodontists, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and clinicians involved in regenerative and implant dentistry throughout the world.
