CHICAGO: Oral Health America’s board of directors recently elected three members into new officer roles. They are: Keith Suchy, DDS, Drs. Sullivan & Suchy LTD, chair of the board; Margaret S. Cottrell, president, ConFirm Monitoring Systems, vice chair; and Steven J. Pollock, president, DentaQuest, secretary/treasurer. Each officer will serve a two-year term, beginning in February 2011.

Dr. Keith Suchy has been with his current practice, located in Westchester, Ill., since 1982. He received both his bachelor’s and dental degree from Loyola University and went on to serve as associate clinical professor of endodontics for nine years. Suchy has been active with the Chicago Dental Society since 1983, serving as president in 2004. He also works with the Illinois State Dental Society, currently serving on the Governmental Affairs committee.

Margaret Cottrell has been with ConFirm Monitoring Systems, a privately held corporate spinoff of Cottrell Ltd., since 2001, after serving as co-owner of Cottrell Ltd., for 19 years. ConFirm is the leading provider of biological monitoring services in the North American dental market and conducts more than 2 million tests annually. Cottrell also co-founded the Organization for Safety & Asepsis Procedures (OSAP), where she continues to serve as an active member, and has been a member of the Dental Trade Alliance since 2004.

Steve Pollock has been with DentaQuest, and its subsidiary Doral, since 2009. DentaQuest is the largest dental benefits administer operating in the U.S. government sector. A graduate of University of Wisconsin, Madison, Law School and a certified public accountant, Pollock actively participates in Doral's Social Responsibility Committee, which promotes community partnerships through sponsorship and volunteerism. He also volunteered at Mission of Mercy Projects throughout the country, which provides free dental care to thousands of underserved individuals.

Oral Health America’s mission is to change lives by connecting communities with resources to increase access to oral health care, education and advocacy for all Americans, especially those most vulnerable.
