NEW YORK, NY, USA: As hosts of the largest dental meeting in the United States, the organizers of the Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM) feel they have an obligation to the exhibitors and attendees to excel in putting on a convention that showcases the latest products, procedures and technologies modern dentistry has to offer. To that effect, the 2009 GNYDM, to be held 27 November to 2 December, will feature a wide array of new programs.

In 2008, some 57,854 attendees from 123 countries participated, and pre-registration for 2009 suggests the number of attendees this year will be even higher.

Advances in dental technology are occurring at an astounding rate. We have now entered the 21st century in dental technology. Thus, the Pride Institute and the GNYDM are partnering to show you what’s new and current.

The first Pride Institute-GNYDM Technology Fair will run for four days and take place on the newly expanded exhibit floor. On Sunday, 29 November, and Monday, 30 November, Pride Institute will host lectures designed to showcase the “best in class” in regards to dental technology.

Participants will come from around the globe to hear about and personally examine the newest products and equipment available to the dental profession. The latest technologies will be demonstrated on the exhibit floor, and representatives from each company will be there to teach attendees about these new offerings from around the world. Attendees will have the opportunity to touch, use and discover the newest materials.

“Dental technology has always been an important part of our meeting, so we are very excited to jointly host with the Pride Institute an annual fair that is customized to the specific needs of the rapidly expanding technology sector,” said Executive Director of the Greater New York Dental Meeting Dr Robert Edwab. “We think it will be a great time savings for attendees to have all the technology, education and materials in one place.”

Additionally, the GNYDM will again partner with Align Technology to hold its second educational event, Invisalign-Greater New York Dental Meeting Expo, which will offer numerous programs that will enable dental teams to learn the logistics of tooth alignment with Invisalign from some of the finest clinicians in the world.

With the popularity of Invisalign growing so rapidly, the 2009 meeting will feature four days of Invisalign programming for the entire dental team. With such a diverse array of educational Invisalign programs offered, there is something for everyone on the team. All courses will be taught by Invisalign experts and will take place in the Invisalign Pavilion on the exhibit floor.

“In 2008, the Invisalign event attracted more than 1,200 registrants, and we are expecting even greater participation this year,” said GNYDM General Chairman Dr Clifford Salm.

To come and be a part of the excitement, you can pre-register yourself and your staff at no charge. Visit the Web site, www.gnydm.com, and click on “Courses and Events 2009” to obtain more information on specific courses or featured speakers at the 2009 GNYDM.
