ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., USA: OCO Biomedical will feature “Time to Change the Way You Provide Implant Treatment,” a special presentation, in conjunction with its annual exhibition at the Yankee Dental Congress. Presented by Charles Schlesinger, DDS, FICOI, chief operating officer and director of clinical affairs, this session will include an interactive lecture and live dentistry workshop.

This AGD-Pace accredited workshop will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, from 10 a.m. to noon in Exhibit Hall M at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

During his lecture, Schlesinger will explore the need for implants in private practice. Attendees will learn about immediate load technology and how this addresses the needs of today’s dental patients. Once immediate loading protocols are explained and sample cases shown, Schlesinger will perform a live surgical demonstration, which will build on the foundation presented in his lecture.

During the live surgery, he will incorporate OCO Biomedical’s highly acclaimed, proprietary Guided Surgery System.

According to the company, workshop learning objectives are:

  • Understand the need for implants and what your patients are asking for.
  • Learn what immediate load means and how to accomplish it.
  • Discuss the physics of immediate loading.
  • Become familiar with protocols for immediate loading.

Attendees will receive two C.E. hours by participating in this no-charge event.

During the five-day meeting, the company will be showing a range of information and products. Attendees will have an opportunity to take a first-hand look at OCO’s Guided Surgery Kit and System. In addition, they will be introduced to the new 2016 OCO Regenerative Products Catalog, the 2016 OCO Nationwide Course Schedule and provided registration information for the upcoming third-annual OCO 2016 International Dental Implant Symposium, to be held July 22-23 at the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, N.M. All material will be on display at Booth No. 729.

Exhibition hours are Thursday, Jan. 28, and Friday, Jan. 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 pm and Saturday, Jan. 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The company’s technical representative will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the benefits of doing business with OCO. Special Yankee attendee discounts for products will be extended.

States Schlesinger: “Last year at Yankee, our two live-surgery events exceeded our expectations and were recognized by the Dental Tribune as one of ‘the best of Yankee’ showings. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of OCO Biomedical. We are proud of the many unparalleled achievements and industry-recognized accomplishments made by our company since 1976.”

“Over the last year, one of the most exciting developments for us has been the successful launch of our exclusive Guided Surgery Kit and System,” Schlesinger said. “The system was integrated in the live surgery performed at the Greater New York Dental Meeting, in November, in front of a capacity crowd. The immediate feedback there was extremely positive. Furthermore, and most encouraging, we are learning from survey information gained through our nationwide courses, trade show participation and one-on-one interaction with our doctors, that both novice and experienced practitioners are incorporating our system into their practices at record rates.”

“Applying this technology has resulted in measurable success improving patient care while enhancing practice performance,” Schlesinger said. “The OCO Guided Surgical System also has been implemented into the majority of today’s CBCT and guide libraries.”

Schlesinger adds, “As an annual exhibitor at the Yankee Dental Congress, 2016’s show offers a wonderful opportunity to celebrate with our colleagues and showcase the company’s extensive product line, advanced technology and comprehensive training. We are honored to provide the dental community with complete dental implant solutions for over forty years.”
