NEW YORK, N.Y., USA: Image Orthodontics has chosen its first three children to receive full orthodontic scholarships through Smile for a Lifetime. Smile for a Lifetime is a non-profit organization that selects six applicants, up to the age of 18, to receive full orthodontic treatment for free in the greater Sacramento, Calif., area at an Image Orthodontics office.
“We have always been community focused and are excited to serve our community doing what we excel at: providing beautiful smiles,” said Rachelle Doyle, marketing coordinator for Image Orthodontics.
Smile for a Lifetime strives to create self-confidence in deserving, underserved children in the local community.
“Braces can help lift the self-esteem of a child immeasurably, and we are thrilled to be able to offer this,” said Andrey Zhuravel, Smile for a Lifetime program director.
Children are encouraged to continue submitting applications, as three more winners will be selected before the end of the year. The deadline for the next round of applications is Oct. 31. Children are selected based on several criteria, including community involvement, grades and extracurricular activities. There are financial qualifications, and the process is competitive.
