Henry Schein Inc. hosted more than 200 dental service organizations (DSOs) at the third annual DSO Education Forum, which took place recently in Las Vegas. The two-day event, held at The Aria Resort & Casino, brought together more than 700 attendees from the U.S., Canada and Europe, a tenfold increase since the forum’s inaugural year in 2017.
During the event, attendees enjoyed networking events and participated in educational courses and panel discussions designed to fit the needs of DSOs and emerging multi-site practices.
“Group dentistry plays a key role in the dental industry today, and the DSO Education Forum showcases Henry Schein’s commitment to providing our customers in DSOs and multi-site practices with educational resources they can rely on to help their organizations grow and succeed,” said A.J. Caffentzis, president, U.S. dental distribution. “We are so pleased with the record breaking attendance at this year’s forum, more than 700 dental professionals convened to learn from our expert lineup of speakers, connect with their peers, and explore new ways to advance in the group dentistry space.”
During the forum, held May 17-18, attendees were able to choose from three educational tracks: the National and Emerging DSO track, the DSO Hygiene track, and the Leadership and Development track. The courses and speakers within each track featured content specifically designed to cover different topics based on organizational needs. In addition, the forum also included guest speaker Julie Rice, co-founder of SoulCycle and Partner for WeWork, two panel discussions featuring top industry leaders, including Stanley Bergman, chairman of the board and CEO, Henry Schein Inc. To conclude the forum, Stephen E. Thorne, CEO, Pacific Dental Services, offered attendees words of motivation and encouragement.
“This was my third year attending the DSO Education Forum, and the event consistently offers high-quality content for its attendees,” said Dr. Scott Kalniz, CEO and chief dental officer, Elite Dental. “It’s an excellent opportunity to network and hear best practices and different perspectives from other organizations in the industry,”
Henry Schein will host the next DSO Education Forum May 1-2, 2020, at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
