With hundreds of educational activities, hands-on training, specialty conferences and a major exhibition of dental technology, the 2026 Greater New York Dental Meeting will bring the international dental community together in Manhattan from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1.

The GNYDM combines continuing education, access to new dental technologies and opportunities to meet colleagues and experts from around the world.

The 2026 edition, which will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, offers education across virtually every major area of contemporary dentistry. The exhibition will run from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, bringing education and industry together under one roof.

The extensive GNYDM 2026 program is available online, allowing attendees to explore the educational offerings and plan their visit in advance.

A snapshot of dentistry in 2026

The education portion of the GNYDM provides an excellent overview of the direction in which dentistry is moving.

Implant dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry and oral surgery remain strongly represented. Alongside them are digital workflows, 3D technology, oral-systemic health, public health and professional well-being.

Courses such as “Digital Dentistry: Scan, Mill, Print” illustrate the integration of technology throughout restorative workflows. The challenge facing dentists today is no longer simply gaining access to digital technology but determining which solutions genuinely improve diagnosis, treatment and practice efficiency.

Hands-on education is another important component. Workshops in endodontics and pediatric restorative dentistry, among other disciplines, allow participants to complement theoretical knowledge with practical training — an experience particularly valuable for international professionals travelling to New York.

Implants, orthodontics and comprehensive health

Implant dentistry remains a major attraction through the World Implant Expo, with education focused on surgical and restorative treatment, planning and patient management.

The Global Orthodontic Conference similarly reflects the digital transformation of orthodontics, including three-dimensional diagnosis and treatment planning.

But the program also looks beyond individual procedures. The Public Health Conference explores the connections between dentistry, systemic health and population health, while courses dedicated to oral cancer address the important role dentists can play in early identification and patient management.

Professional well-being is represented as well. “Check Up for The Soul: Mental Health Initiative for the Dental Team” addresses psychological health in a profession characterized by demanding schedules, clinical responsibility and frequent interaction with anxious patients.

A meeting point for Latin America

For Latin American professionals, GNYDM offers a particularly attractive international platform.

Congreso Dental New York provides Spanish-language educational opportunities, including clinical subjects relevant to dentists and other members of the dental team. Latin American speakers also contribute to the scientific program.

This reflects the growing international visibility of Latin American dentistry. Clinicians from the region increasingly participate globally as educators, researchers and innovators, and GNYDM provides an environment where knowledge and experience can flow in both directions.

Technology — and human connections

From Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, the exhibition will allow attendees to explore and compare equipment, materials and technologies, including intraoral scanners, imaging systems, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, implant systems and restorative solutions.

For clinicians considering significant investments, seeing technologies side by side and discussing them directly with manufacturers can provide insights difficult to obtain online.

Ultimately, however, the value of GNYDM extends beyond courses and technology.

Scientific information can increasingly be accessed remotely. What remains much harder to reproduce digitally is the exchange that occurs when professionals from different countries meet face to face.

This fall, New York will provide that meeting place — bringing together education, innovation and an international dental community under one roof.

For five days, it will become one of the places where the future of dentistry is discussed, tested and shared. Register here.
