CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., USA: The American-Anglo Unum Group is adding dental insurance to its portfolio of financial protection benefits, Dental Tribune ONLINE has learned. The new flexible plans will be provided in partnership with United Concordia, a leading provider of dental plans based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and will be available to customers in Washington DC and other states beginning in the fall.
According to its own figures, Unum currently offers employment protection benefits in areas like health, disability and long-term care to over 25 million people and businesses worldwide. The new partnership will give the group’s customers access to a network of 73,000 dentists, the company said in a press release. United claims to deliver dental programs to over eight million members throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
