NEW YORK, N.Y., USA: At the Greater New York Dental Meeting, attendees can find all the latest products and technology. The show floor — which is much more navigable this year — is open Nov. 28 to Dec. 1 (Sunday to Wednesday) and includes products and services to fit any need that a dental practice may have.

Show hours are Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here is a quick rundown of just a few of the exhibitors and their many offerings on display.

Designs for Vision (booth No. 2621) has several new and innovative products, including Infinity VUE, Panoramic Field and REVEAL. Designed to provide a straightforward approach to ergonomics, Infinity VUE loupes are available in 3.0x and 3.5x magnification. Infinity VUE (Vision Up Ergonomics) keeps your chin up, your neck straight and your eyes forward while viewing the magnified oral cavity. Designs for Vision invites you to try these loupes on to see (and feel) the difference in your posture.

The exhibitor exocad, an Align Technlogy company (booth No. 2003), is presenting highlights of its three core products: DentalCAD 3.0 Galway, exoplan 3.0 Galway for implant planning and ChairsideCAD 3.0 Galway for single-visit dentistry.

For exocad’s DentalCAD 3.0 Galway, demonstrations will present 90 new features as well as 80 enhancements. Attendees can experience the new Instant Anatomic Morphing tool, which automatically adjusts teeth in real time, greatly improving the speed and precision of anatomical tooth placement. Another feature is parametric shape adjustment, which can transform all tooth libraries from a younger to an older anatomy.

Also at exocad, on-site experts will demonstrate how the Smile Creator module can automatically recognize facial features using new AI-assisted technology.

Medidenta (booth No. 914), is announcing the integration of several full-scale product categories, including a full hygiene lineup, an expanded handpiece department, endodontic products, teeth whitening and more.

COVID-19 created the need for many to expand their PPE, so Medidenta followed suit, expanding its existing personal protection lines to include ASTM Level 1, 2 and 3 masks with KN95 as well as full-face shields both disposable and reusable plus a full product line of 70 to 80 percent sanitizers.

When you stop by the Medidenta booth, be sure to enter the company’s at-show raffle. Mention code GNY21 to get a free hand sanitizer with your order.

The folks at Fotona (booth No. 3230) want you to know that in addition to its advanced dental treatments, the Fotona LightWalker laser can also offer patients facial esthetic rejuvenation options.

Skin rejuvenation treatments are in high demand, and many are looking for options that naturally enhance without injectables. Two treatments available from Fotona that fit patients’ needs are SmoothLase, a wrinkle reduction treatment for around the mouth, and LipLase, a gentle yet effective treatment in providing patients with fuller, enhanced lips.

Enabled with unique Fotona pulse characteristics, both SmoothLase and LipLase use the photothermal capabilities of the LightWalker laser to convert and initiate the formation of new and more elastic collagen.

While the past couple of years have been tough for the dental industry, Tuttnauer (booth 3203) invested in the development and launch of several new products, such as the T-Edge — the company’s newest tabletop, which is an industry first featuring an “upgrade-ready” option that allows the unit to go from a Gravity Class S sterilization to Class B Pre/Post Vacuum sterilization.

Tuttnauer’s T-Edge autoclave is available in 10-inch and 11-inch chamber sizes. If you have the need for speed, it can complete a wrapped cycle, including drying, in 35 minutes, according to the company.

MEDCOAT is a new addition to the line of products available from Beutlich Pharmaceuticals (booth No. 2812). According to the company, it is an innovative new coating that makes pills go down more smoothly and covers up the bad taste of any medicine. It is perfect for alleviating the sharp edges of pills that need to be halved or quartered and eliminates the need to crush tablets or add flavorings, which can alter the effectiveness of the medicines, the company said. The special coating applicator is easy to use, works on any size or shaped pill or capsule, and comes in three great flavors — citrus, strawberry and cola, the company said.

These are just a few of the many product offerings available at the meeting.
