Save the date! With a goal to provide an enlightening and informative program that will leave you “In the Know” on many of the most important developments in implant dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) has aligned the world’s international leaders and interdisciplinary teams for its annual meeting from March 16–18, 2023, in Phoenix.
Thursday morning will begin with Corporate Forums, with updates from 30-plus industry sponsored programs to highlight the latest in developments available with their field of expert speakers.
The opening symposium, “The Biology: Microscopic to Macroscopic,” will discuss elements from the cellular level to the sophisticated restorative aspects of care. Keynote speaker Rickard Brånemark, MD, PhD, MSc, along with Drs. Richard J. Lazzara, Jill A. Helms, John B. Brunski and Ole T. Jensen, will address this subject. Dr. Michael R. Norton will moderate a conversation with these specialists to further elaborate on their collective insights.
The scientific program will include a Surgical Track, with a strong emphasis on current developments in surgical planning and techniques, peri-implantitis prevention and therapies, soft and hard tissue augmentation, digital planning and navigation. The parallel Restorative Track will highlight new developments in digital planning and design, dental materials and components for the treatment of the single, partially and full arch rehabilitations.
Concentrated learning opportunities — Morning with the Masters, Lunch with the Masters and hands-on courses — will also be offered. Interdisciplinary teams from Spain, Brazil, Dallas and Chicago will share the power of comprehensive treatment planning. Speakers will be challenged to provide updates on lifetime considerations for each patient, the management and outcomes of challenging cases, and the incorporation of digital technology in the decision-making process.
The closing symposium will commence with a new session, “Emerging Leaders,” a case presentation competition for early career professionals, followed by a session about interdisciplinary team approach to dental implant treatment moderated by Dr. Lyndon F. Cooper.
“As implant dentistry has become an integral part of everyday practice, our goal will be to continue the legacy of the Academy of Osseointegration to serve as the reliable source for sound, evidence-based information and to empower attendees with the mastery of knowledge and skill required for successful treatment outcomes for dental implant patients,” said 2023 Annual Meeting Program Committee Chair Dr. Jacinthe M. Paquette. “Don’t miss this opportunity to ‘Be in The Know.’ AO looks forward to seeing you in Phoenix!”
