It’s a new era for the AAP Annual Meeting, as this year’s event marks the first year it will be held entirely virtually, in light of the coronavirus pandemic. The event, held in collaboration with the Japanese Society of Periodontology and the Japanese Academy of Clinical Periodontology, went live today (Friday, Nov. 6), and will continue on through Sunday, Nov. 15.

Many of the things you have come to love about the in-person meetings can be found online, including a multitude of sessions and topics from well-known speakers and an exhibit hall where you are invited to take a look at some of the newest products in the industry.

During the 10 days, you can attend a variety of live and on-demand courses, including ones on COVID vaccines, grafting, root recession, oral sedation, anterior implants and more.

A full schedule can be found at am2020.perio.org/program-information/schedule-of-events-2.

The AAP has invested in a versatile and robust online platform for its first virtual exhibit hall. Attendees will be able to view video/informercials from companies as well as other important information, live chat with the sales force during exhibit “Power Hours” and have the ability to schedule one-on-one appointments.
