NEW YORK, N.Y., USA: If you stopped by or walked by the Dentatus booth in the exhibit hall at the recent Greater New York Dental Meeting, there’s a good chance you saw Dentatus USA President Bernard Weissman holding court. Dental professionals from wide-ranging backgrounds regularly seek his counsel, aware of the deep trove of knowledge and strong success record he has had with bringing highly regarded dental products to market.

Much of Weissman’s success can be attributed to his commitment to keeping things affordable for practices and patients. Interestingly, though, when Weissman is considering a new dental product or tool, he doesn’t start with a price in mind, he starts with a problem and possible solution. Then, once a benefit is clearly established, Weissman is always looking for ways to keep costs down without compromising quality.

That’s the thinking behind the company’s restorative systems. “Historically in dentistry, whatever we have done with a crown or bridge or removable … if it fails, the entire device needs to be discarded,” Weissman said. “Ours is the only system that can be compared to something more like a refrigerator: When the light bulb burns out in your fridge, you don’t throw out the whole fridge. You change the bulb. That’s how our system works. It’s the only system that is reparable — fixable in an easy, low-cost way. You virtually unscrew the bulb and in 15 minutes you’re working again. The procedure is done.”

The Dentatus systems enable practitioners to give patients "teeth" immediately and stage them through different parts of their treatment — all with one system, whether removable dentures, fixed/hybrid dentures, or fixed bridge, etc.

To learn more about “Narrow-Body” implants and the company’s many other products and services, contact Dentatus. Also, be sure to ask about the newly opened Dentatus Technical Center at 54 West 39th St. in Manhattan.

The fully equipped center enables practitioners to gain hands-on experience with the wide range of Dentatus patented technologies in removables and fixed restorations. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Restorative dentists can learn practical, chairside means for making temps, interim crowns and bridges — using the company’s distinctive transfer coping for lab-customized restorations in materials of choice. It’s also a great place for New York City-area dentists to pick up supplies in an emergency.
