CHICAGO, Ill., USA: Registration is open for dentists and dental students to attend the American Dental Association’s 27th New Dentist Conference — Climbing to New Heights, which will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Denver July 18-20. The hotel registration deadline is June 14, and the pre-conference registration deadline is July 8.

Dentists and dental students are invited to join the ADA New Dentist Committee for a weekend of networking, leadership development and continuing education at a conference that caters to the unique needs of new dentists — dentists less than 10 years out of dental school.

Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 15 hours of continuing education credits in courses such as implant dentistry, financial management, treatment planning and case presentation, social media and implications of prescribed medications. The New Dentist Committee also offers a full day of leadership programming on leadership effectiveness, engaging students and new dentists in organized dentistry and how to amplify leadership skills using social media.

Lunches and special events are included with the $375 registration fee for ADA members. Conference attendees enjoy a discount when booking rooms at the host hotel. Those who enter by May 24 are eligible to win early-bird incentives such as free registration or lodging at the New Dentist Conference or free registration or three nights lodging at the ADA Annual Session in New Orleans in October. Full sweepstakes rules are available on ADA.org.

The ADA 27th New Dentist Conference is presented by the ADA New Dentist Committee. Generous funding is provided by ADA-Sponsored Members Insurance Plans, the American Dental Political Action Committee, Wells Fargo Practice Finance, Pacific Dental Services, Fortress Insurance Co., the Colorado Dental Association, ADA Members Retirement Programs from AXA Equitable, Patterson Dental, Quintessence Publishing, Isolite Systems, Yodle, the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, Heartland Dental Care and ADA Business Resources.

The New Dentist Committee is comprised of dentist volunteers from each of the 17 ADA districts and is a standing committee of the ADA Board of Trustees. Serving as the voice of the new dentist, the Committee addresses issues and concerns of new dentists and develops resources to help members succeed.
