SAN DIEGO, Calif., USA: It’s a good time to be involved in the orthodontic industry. New products, new technology and new ways of looking at things are all around you here at the 2017 AAO Annual Session at the San Diego Convention Center, and starting on Saturday you can take advantage of all of them.
A variety of sessions, taught by experts in the field, are being offered to both doctors and staff on a number of topics, including treatment planning, sleep apnea, multidisciplinary care, cutting-edge techniques and more.
There are even a number of presentations on “Mega Trends for Doctors & Ortho Team,” featuring such topics as “Move Over, Millennials ... Is Your Practice Ready for Generation Z?” by Douglas Depew (8 a.m. Sunday), “Prep & Landing: Sales and Marketing Beyond the New Patient Exam” by Kayla Hoorelbeke (4 p.m. Sunday) and “Incorporating 3-D Technology into Your Practice: Possibilities and Challenges” by Tung Nguyen (2:45 p.m. Monday).
Over in the exhibit hall, hundreds of reps have gathered to showcase the newest products and technology in the field. From practice management to 3-D imaging to brackets and handpieces, if you are looking for it, it’s likely to be found there.
