Southeastern Conference of Dental Laboratories

Organized in 1961 with membership originally composed of dental laboratories in the nine Southeastern states. In 2001, the SCDL expanded our membership by including all laboratories regardless of geographic location.

Our main purpose is education for dental technicians and the entire dental team as it relates our practice of dental laboratory technology. We believe that education is the key to success. We pursue this goal by offering one meeting per year where we offer the finest educational program anywhere – nationally or internationally. The program is enhanced by a trade show featuring 75+ booths of the latest supplies, equipment and techniques available to technicians today.

The purpose of the Conference shall be:

(a) To uphold the dignity and honor of the Dental Laboratory Industry.

(b) To develop activities which will enable the industry to conduct itself with greater economic and technical efficiency and improve its service to the Dental Profession.

(c) To cooperate wherever legal and proper with other industries and organizations in the pursuit of mutually desirable objectives.

(d) To cooperate with Governmental Departments and agencies on matters affecting the industry.

(e) To engage in any appropriate and lawful activities which will promote the efficiency and economic progress of the industry.

(f) To promote a spirit of cooperation among the members of the Conference.

(g) To promote sound business and accounting methods.

(h) To collect and disseminate economic and statistical information relative to the industry and, in general, advance and further the interests and welfare of the Dental Laboratory Industry.
