CHARLOTTE, N.C., US: Building on their ongoing collaboration in digital denture manufacturing, Dentsply Sirona and HeyGears have announced the validation of Lucitone Digital Print Denture resins for one-piece denture production on the new HeyGears UltraCraft MMF (Multi-Material Fusion) digital light processing 3D printer. The validated workflow allows laboratories to print dentures in a single process rather than bonding denture teeth printed from Lucitone Digital IPN 3D Premium Tooth resin to separate denture bases.
The companies said that this makes production more efficient and delivers the durability, aesthetics and performance associated with Lucitone materials. “At Dentsply Sirona, we are focused on expanding the possibilities of digital denture manufacturing,” said Jennifer Kelly, vice-president of digital services and Atlantis at Dentsply Sirona. “Validating Lucitone Digital Print Denture resins for one-piece printing with HeyGears reflects our commitment to providing laboratories with streamlined solutions that maintain the highest standards of aesthetics and strength.”
HeyGears highlighted the role of collaboration in advancing the digital dentistry ecosystem. “This validation marks an important step forward in making advanced denture workflows more accessible,” said Peiyan Gui, CEO and co-founder of HeyGears. “By integrating our printing technology with Dentsply Sirona’s trusted materials, we are enabling laboratories of all sizes to scale production, enhance consistency and deliver excellent outcomes.”
The Lucitone Digital Print Denture system is designed to support complete and partial denture fabrication through a streamlined digital workflow and offers high mechanical strength, aesthetics and longevity. It is available in 16 A1–D4 tooth shades, two bleach shades and five gingiva shades.
HeyGears’ dental 3D-printing portfolio includes preprocessing software, print management solutions and hardware designed to support automated and accurate workflows. The UltraCraft MMF printer enables one-piece denture production through an integrated workflow from design and preprocessing to the finished restoration. According to HeyGears, because the denture base and teeth are produced as an integrated structure, the workflow helps preserve the tooth morphology and occlusal relationships established during digital design, and the seamless interface is designed to reduce sites for bacterial adhesion.
