BOSTON, Mass., USA: At the 2015 Yankee Dental Congress, there was plenty to learn, from implant placement to esthetic and restorative procedures and everything in between. Courses were taught by some of the top names in dentistry. General practitioners, specialists, hygienists and office managers found lectures and workshops they could benefit from.

In one of the many educational highlights at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on Thursday, Dr. Charles Schlesinger presented “The Advantage of Osseous Fixation,” a lecture and live surgery. Attendees learned about osseous fixations and how implants can change the way they practice dentistry.

Also Thursday, “Interprofessional Symposium: Complete Health Dentistry,” a new offering this year, featured an expert panel of physicians discussing management of patients with medical issues that dental professionals may encounter in daily practice.

On Friday, Stephanie Meyers, RD, presented “Fighting Cancer With Your Fork: Separating Fact From Fiction.”

Dr. Ron Kaminer presented “Restorative Dentistry: Deciphering the New Material Dilemma” on Thursday, and “Tips and Tricks for Maximum Production” and “Biodynamic Dentistry” on Friday.
