HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., USA: Earlier this year, Planmeca USA, known as a leading manufacturer of dental imaging and CAD/CAM equipment, announced a partnership with the newly formed MOD (Modern Optimized Dentistry) Institute in Charleston, S.C.
Dr. Wally Renne, a global educator on digital dentistry and founder of the MOD Institute, is now working with Planmeca USA to offer hands-on educational opportunities.
Dr. Wally Renne, a global educator on digital dentistry and founder of the MOD Institute, began with the idea that learning should be neither intimidating nor too complex. His vision included what he calls “practical skills for the Monday after,” meaning attendees can immediately apply what they learned upon returning home.
The MOD Institute offers hands-on courses using the latest imaging and CAD/CAM technology from Planmeca. Course titles include “Implant Restorations in the Digital Age,” “Block to Beautiful” and “The Power of Partial Coverage Restoration.” More courses are being added regularly to keep the curriculum robust and at the cutting edge of dental advancements.
“Partnering with the MOD Institute makes so much sense from our perspective,” said Jody Rodney, vice president of marketing and education at Planmeca USA. “We provide initial training and education for our customers on both of our imaging and CAD/CAM products. Then, when the clinician is ready, they can advance their skills through courses held at the MOD Institute. It reinforces our mission to deliver better care through innovation, and the MOD Institute becomes an extension of the Planmeca experience.”
Classes are scheduled to begin in November in historical Charleston, S.C., with an impressive list of educators dedicated to advancing dentistry and supporting dental professionals.
