HOUSTON, Texas, USA: Accelerated orthodontic treatment will be a featured topic at the American Association of Orthodontics 2015 Annual Session, to be held May 15-19 in San Francisco, as seven of the industry’s leading orthodontists present scientific lectures on AcceleDent, manufactured by OrthoAccel Technologies. AcceleDent is an FDA-cleared, Class II medical device that is designed to speed up orthodontic treatment by as much as 50 percent with just 20 minutes of daily use.

At the invitation of the AAO, Dr. Anil Idiculla, an award-winning orthodontist and professor at the University of Colorado, will present “Accelerate Your Practice Using AcceleDent” during the staff program. OrthoAccel’s micro-lectures will be held at the company’s booth (No. 615) and presented by Dr. Nasib Balut, Dr. S. Jay Bowman, Dr. Sam Daher, Dr. Dawei Liu, Dr. Kenji Ojima and Dr. Sonia Palleck as well as Sarah Keller, an orthodontic practice consultant.

“As the 2015 AAO is aptly titled, ‘Bridging Science and Technology,’ these micro lectures are prime opportunities for orthodontists and their staff to stay abreast of the latest technological advancements in the industry,” said Michael K. Lowe, president and CEO of OrthoAccel. “In addition to presenting the clinical benefits of AcceleDent, the micro-lectures will discuss how offering accelerated orthodontics with AcceleDent can increase practices’ case acceptance rates and successfully enhance practice economics and efficiency.”

Now available in more than 2,300 orthodontic locations in the U.S. and Canada, AcceleDent continues to receive high patient satisfaction reviews and, according to the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, AcceleDent is the most common accelerated treatment technique used by orthodontists.

Palleck’s micro lecture will be insightful for orthodontists seeking to differentiate their practice, according to OrthoAccel Technologies. Having already accelerated orthodontic treatment for more than 250 patients, Palleck was an early adopter of AcceleDent, and during her session she will discuss how she strives to complete all cases in 12 months or less.

For those looking for additional support of AcceleDent’s efficacy, researchers Bowman and Liu will focus their individual sessions on the latest published research related to AcceleDent’s patented SoftPulse Technology and the clinical evidence supporting accelerated tooth movement, according to OrthoAccel Technologies.
